5 police officers killed in Mandera attack

Five police officers killed and four others injured in Mandera bus ambush. 

Five police officers have been killed and four others injured after an attack in Kotulo, Mandera County.

The officers are said to have been escorting passengers who had boarded a Makkah bus when their car was hit by a grenade.

Governor Ali Roba has condemned the attack stating that locals had warned of a possible attack yet nothing was done about it.

The attack is suspected to have been planned by the Al-Shabaab militia group.

This is the third time a Makkah bus is being ambushed and the police car that was hit was burned to ashes.

One of the officers is said to be missing and is being looked for.
