What is Inside Makau Mutua's 84-Page CV

The credentials of New York-based Professor Makau Mutua, one of the applicants for the Chief Justice position, have amazed many.

It is his 84-page Curriculum Vitae, however, that has particularly attracted a lot of attention with many wondering about the content of the résumé.

Kenyans.co.ke found Mr Mutua's CV on the Buffalo Law School Website where the prolific columnist on Kenyan and American dailies was a dean.

Just like an ordinary résumé, Mutua's contains basic information including his personal details, academic qualification, legal experience and awards he has received throughout his career.

The details only cover five pages of the booklet. So what is contained in the remaining 79 pages?

From page seven of the résumé, Makau introduces his publications ranging from books to newspaper articles he has written since 1996 to date.

According to the CV, the Professor graduated from the Nairobi University Law School with a Bachelor of Laws degree then proceeded to the University of Dar es Salaam where he graduated with a Masters of Laws degree.

He later relocated to the United States and enrolled at the Harvard School of Law where he obtained several honours including Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) in 1987.

Chances of the CV having more pages are high considering that the scholar is still writing for major local and American based dailies.
